Porphyria Type | Indications | Tests |
---|---|---|
Acute Symptomatic Porphyria | Suspected in patients with acute neurovisceral attacks presenting with severe abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, confusion, or seizures. Includes conditions such as Acute Intermittent Porphyria, Hereditary Coproporphyria, and Variegate Porphyria. |

Cutaneous Bullous Porphyria | Suspected in patients with blistering skin lesions caused by Porphyria Cutanea Tarda, Hereditary Coproporphyria, or Congenital Erythropoietic Porphyria. |

Photosensitive Cutaneous Porphyria | For patients with acute photosensitivity, particularly when Erythropoietic Protoporphyria or X-linked Dominant Protoporphyria is suspected. |

Asymptomatic Porphyria | Used for patients with a personal or family history of porphyria. Clinical details about the individual and/or affected family member must be provided. |
