Manage the textbook, questions, contributor accounts, approvals and publishing in one place. Owner controls are restricted by the server; subeditors prepare drafts that require approval before publication.
Owners publish; subeditors submit changes for approval.
Available only to logged-in editors. Page-view totals and recent activity. Consent-based visitor IP addresses are held separately for a maximum of 30 days and shown only to logged-in editors.
Shows the 200 most recent consented web page views and IP addresses, retained for up to 30 days. IP addresses can be shared by several people or change over time; they do not establish a visitor’s identity. Do not export or disclose this log unnecessarily.
After saving your chapters, click Build latest app ZIP. The site collects all current reading pages, indexes, scripts, and images into an offline package. The apps can check a public version manifest to download updates; only logged-in editors can build a release.
External clinical images are copied into the ZIP so illustrations work offline. Unavailable images stop the build rather than create an incomplete edition.
For the main editor only. Export exactly the published website chapters as book manuscripts. This does not use the separate Makindo question database, pending drafts, or unpublished revisions.
Select an edition. Word manuscripts include chapter headings, lists, tables and local illustrations where supported. PDF export uses the server's PDF converter when available; otherwise use the print-ready edition and Save as PDF.
Subeditors submit drafts for review; their changes do not appear on the public book or in app releases until you approve them. The main editor can inspect and approve or reject each draft. Owner edits may still be published directly.
Choose Refresh drafts to see submissions.
Every saved change is attributed to an editor and preserved as a full chapter revision. Compare an older version with the current page; only the main editor can restore a previous version.
Change the name shown to other editors, your sign-in username and your password. Confirm your current password before changing account details. Passwords are hashed, never displayed or included in website exports.
Changing your password invalidates other logged-in sessions. Your username can be changed; the role remains owner or subeditor.
You can add, rename, suspend, reactivate, reset a password, or permanently revoke a subeditor’s access. Subeditors may read and submit textbook drafts only; they cannot publish pages, change your account, publish question releases or manage users. Account removal revokes access but preserves revision and approval history.
Choose an existing specialty or type a new one. The chapter will appear under this heading in the book index.
Open a chapter, then choose, paste (Ctrl+V), or drag images into the editor.
New page creation, reindexing and permanent edits require a PHP-enabled website and write permissions for book/pages and book/assets. Opening the ZIP locally allows reading only; the server editor cannot authenticate or publish without PHP.
